Recreate one of the most celebrated ocean liners of the 20th century with the 1:400 Scale RMS Queen Mary British Ocean Liner Building Blocks. Designed and authorized by bru_bri_mocs, this 3,797-piece model captures the elegant profile of RMS Queen Mary, from her long black hull and three distinctive funnels to the layered decks and classic superstructure of a golden-age transatlantic liner.
Built at approximately 1:400 scale, the model balances recognizable ship details with a display-friendly format. The finished vessel measures around 82.6 cm long and is presented on a dedicated wood-color stand, creating an elegant centerpiece for ocean liner and maritime collections.
A Legendary British Ocean Liner
Launched in 1934 and operated by Cunard Line until 1967, RMS Queen Mary became one of the defining transatlantic passenger ships of her generation. Her design followed the lineage of earlier Cunard liners while introducing greater size, speed, and a distinctive cruiser stern.
From Passenger Liner to Wartime Troopship
During World War II, Queen Mary was converted for troop transport. On a transatlantic crossing in 1943, she carried 16,683 people aboard, an extraordinary chapter in the ship’s wartime service.
Detailed 1:400 Scale Recreation
The model recreates the ship’s recognizable hull proportions, three-funnel arrangement, superstructure, deck levels, lifeboat areas, and other exterior details while maintaining the elegant silhouette of the original liner.
Designed for an Enjoyable Building Experience
The project was refined to combine structural stability with a straightforward construction process, making the large ship rewarding to build without sacrificing the visual details that define Queen Mary.
Wood-Color Display Stand Included
A dedicated stand supports the finished ship and complements its classic ocean-liner appearance, making the model easy to present on a shelf, desk, or within a larger maritime display.
Three-Part Building Instructions
The building instructions are organized into three PDF sections, helping divide the project into more manageable stages during assembly.
From the Designer
bru_bri_mocs created this model as a 1:400 scale tribute to RMS Queen Mary, focusing on the proportions and details that made the real ship instantly recognizable.
The goal was to combine an accurate representation of the historic liner with an accessible and enjoyable building process, resulting in a substantial display model that celebrates both the engineering and elegance of classic ocean travel.
A Classic Maritime Display Piece
With 3,797 pieces, authentic ocean-liner proportions, a dedicated display stand, and the unmistakable three-funnel silhouette of RMS Queen Mary, this model offers a rewarding centerpiece for ship enthusiasts, maritime history collectors, and builders interested in historic passenger vessels.
