Take on extreme terrain with the MOC-136390 Foremost Delta 6x6 Articulated Off-Road Truck Building Blocks. Designed and authorized by Nico71, this 2,033-piece RC model recreates the Canadian Foremost Delta 6x6, a specialized articulated truck developed for demanding environments such as oilfields, remote construction sites, pipeline work, and logistical support.

Built at approximately 1:20 scale, the model combines six-wheel drive, central articulated steering, portal gearing, differentials on all three axles, and two different suspension layouts in a substantial off-road vehicle measuring around 60 cm long.

6x6 All-Wheel Drive

Two L motors power all six wheels through a drivetrain incorporating differentials, reinforced constant-velocity joints, and portal hubs on all three axles.

The geared wheel hubs provide additional reduction near the wheels while maintaining the mechanical character of the real heavy-duty machine.

Central Articulated Steering

Instead of steering the wheels like a conventional truck, the vehicle changes direction by bending at the center of the chassis.

A dedicated L motor operates two linear actuators, moving the front and rear sections relative to each other and recreating the distinctive articulated steering system of the Foremost Delta.

Live Front Axle Suspension

The front uses a suspended live axle with shock absorbers and a Panhard rod, allowing the axle to move over uneven terrain while remaining laterally controlled beneath the chassis.

Tandem Rear Bogie Suspension

At the rear, two axles are connected through an oscillating bogie-style arrangement with Panhard rods. This allows the rear wheels to adapt independently to changing terrain and helps maintain contact across rough surfaces.

Removable Modular Bodywork

The cab, cargo bed, and battery cover can all be removed, providing easier access to the drivetrain and internal mechanisms while emphasizing the truck’s modular industrial construction.

Opening Cab Doors

Functional doors open to reveal the driver's compartment and add another interactive detail to the large-scale vehicle.

Ready for Optional Winches

Mounting provisions are incorporated at both the front and rear for builders who want to add winches, although winches themselves are not part of the standard configuration.

Inspired by a Real Extreme-Terrain Machine

The real Foremost Delta 6x6 was developed in Canada for operations where ordinary trucks struggle to travel. Its low-pressure tires, high payload capability, and articulated chassis make it particularly suitable for oilfields, remote drilling, pipeline construction, powerline work, and other demanding environments.

From the Designer

Nico71 chose the Foremost Delta because its unusual architecture offered an opportunity to reproduce several distinctive heavy-vehicle mechanisms in one model.

The design combines a fully driven three-axle chassis with portal gearing and differentials, central articulation controlled by linear actuators, a suspended front axle, and a tandem rear bogie system. Removable body sections were also incorporated to make the internal engineering easier to access and explore.
