Turn one of the most surreal scenes from Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End into a dramatic three-dimensional display with the MOC-275983 Pirates of the Caribbean “Up Is Down” Art Building Blocks. Designed and authorized by BRICKMANstudio, this massive 7,102-piece project transforms the film’s dreamlike pirate imagery into a layered brick-built artwork with strong depth, storytelling, and display impact.
The composition is divided into three distinct sections, bringing together iconic objects, mysterious navigation imagery, and a large-scale naval battle in one continuous scene.
Three-Part Narrative Composition
The artwork is structured into three major visual zones, each representing a different part of the story while remaining connected within a single large display.
Captain Jack Sparrow’s Compass & Cursed Medallion
The left section features two instantly recognizable pirate artifacts: Jack Sparrow’s compass and the cursed medallion, creating a strong symbolic opening to the scene.
The Mysterious Map
At the center is the map that helped guide the characters toward Jack Sparrow in Davy Jones’s Locker, serving as the visual bridge between the artifact-focused left side and the naval action on the right.
Black Pearl vs. Flying Dutchman
The right section depicts a dramatic sea battle between the Black Pearl and the Flying Dutchman, adding movement, scale, and a cinematic sense of conflict to the overall composition.
Layered 3D Art Construction
Rather than using a flat mosaic approach, the model builds outward in multiple layers, creating genuine depth across the ships, objects, background elements, and surrounding scenery.
Built as a Large Display Piece
The finished model measures approximately 28.3 × 70.4 × 69.1 cm, giving it the presence of a substantial art installation rather than a conventional tabletop model.
Its wide format and strong vertical depth make it suitable for prominent shelf, cabinet, or wall-adjacent display.

From the Designer
BRICKMANstudio created this project as something different from his usual work, focusing on a dimensional art interpretation of the memorable “Up Is Down” sequence from Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End.
The base was intentionally engineered to remain sturdy despite the model’s size, while the three-section structure allowed the designer to combine several recognizable elements from the film into a single cohesive composition.
The project required significant time and effort, with particular emphasis placed on structural stability, layered depth, and creating a strong cinematic presence.
