Built at approximately 1:15 scale, the model captures the Traction Avant’s low-slung proportions, long hood, rounded fenders, flowing roofline, and distinctive rear profile while keeping the mechanical systems visible and interactive.

Classic Traction Avant Styling

Particular attention was given to reproducing the unusual proportions and surface shapes of the original car, from its long front bodywork and curved fenders to the rounded trunk and centered rear license-plate area.

The all-black exterior gives the finished model the formal, understated appearance strongly associated with the historic Traction Avant.

Rounded Trunk Version

This edition represents the later curved-trunk configuration, featuring the rounded rear bodywork, upper trunk hinge arrangement, and centered license plate.

It gives the car a noticeably different rear profile from the flatter-trunk version of the design.

Working Inline-Four Engine

Under the hood sits a compact green four-cylinder engine with moving pistons and a functional cooling fan.

The engine is mechanically connected to the front drivetrain, allowing the internal components to move as the front wheels turn.

Front-Wheel-Drive Layout

The model recreates one of the defining characteristics of the real Traction Avant with a mechanically driven front axle.

Nico71 created MOC-149659 as a 1:15 scale tribute to the Citroen Traction Avant, focusing especially on the difficult curves and surface transitions that define the original automobile.

The project was based on the 1955 Traction 11B with curved trunk, with considerable attention given to body proportions, exterior finish, and keeping visible colored mechanical elements from distracting from the predominantly black bodywork.

Functional elements such as the front-wheel-drive engine, steering system, independent rear suspension, opening hood, four doors, and trunk were then integrated without compromising the car’s recognizable silhouette.
