Built at approximately 1:20 scale, the truck measures around 41.5 cm long and features a distinctive black body with red, orange, and yellow side stripes inspired by the bold graphics of vintage work and off-road trucks.

6x6 Locked Drivetrain

All six wheels are mechanically driven without differentials, creating a direct drivetrain suited to low-speed off-road operation.

A multi-stage primary reduction transfers power through the chassis while keeping the drivetrain compact enough to accommodate the gearbox, suspension, motors, and removable engine.

Manual Two-Speed Gearbox

A manually operated transmission allows the truck to switch between high and low gearing, giving the drivetrain two different operating characteristics.

The lower ratio favors controlled off-road movement, while the higher ratio provides greater wheel speed.

Removable Working V8 Engine

Under the hood is a simulated CAT-inspired V8 engine connected to the drivetrain.

The complete engine assembly can be removed from the chassis, making it easier to inspect the mechanism or display the powertrain separately.

Rack-and-Pinion Steering

Steering uses a rack-and-pinion mechanism combined with a universal-joint connection and oscillating bevel gearing.

The hood features two locking positions, while both cab doors can also be opened, providing access to the detailed mechanical and interior areas of the model.

Nico71 developed MOC-219862 as a more off-road-focused successor to an earlier heavy truck project, this time prioritizing all-wheel drive and improved terrain capability.

The compact chassis required careful packaging of the drivetrain, steering, motors, battery, two-speed gearbox, and suspension systems. Several axle and linkage solutions were refined to save space while retaining strength and articulation.

The result is a sturdy, adaptable 6x6 truck that combines functional off-road engineering with the distinctive appearance of a vintage heavy-duty machine.
