Designed and authorized by Nico71, this 1,037-piece model combines a high-roof cab-over tractor with a functional three-axle trailer, rear-wheel drive, rack-and-pinion steering, a tilting cab, and a switchable self-steering trailer axle.

Built at approximately 1:30 scale, the truck measures around 21 cm long, extending to roughly 50 cm when connected to the trailer, making it compact while still offering a surprisingly rich mechanical layout.

European Cab-Over Styling

The tractor is inspired by the proportions and high-roof appearance of modern European heavy trucks, with a short wheelbase, tall cab, distinctive front grille, and carefully shaped exterior details.

Rear-Wheel Drive with Differential

The motorized version uses an L motor to drive the rear axle through a differential, creating a compact drivetrain suited to the small-scale cab-over chassis.

Rack-and-Pinion Steering

A servo motor operates the front wheels through a rack-and-pinion system. The short wheelbase and set-back axle layout help give the truck a tight turning radius, making it highly maneuverable when coupled to the trailer.

Tilting Cab

The entire cab can tilt forward as one assembly, recreating the service-access layout commonly found on real European cab-over trucks.

The cab is also designed with slight lateral movement to imitate the behavior of cab suspension.

Opening Cab Doors

Both doors can be opened, adding another interactive detail while providing access to the compact interior.

Self-Steering 3-Axle Trailer

The included trailer uses a three-axle layout with a switchable steering mechanism. A locking pin allows the steering axle to operate automatically through the linkage system or remain fixed when desired.

Manual Landing Gear

The trailer is equipped with manually adjustable landing legs using friction gearing, allowing it to stand independently when disconnected from the tractor.

Easy Truck & Trailer Coupling

The power source is positioned inside the cab on the motorized version, avoiding the need for electrical connections between the truck and trailer and making coupling and uncoupling more convenient.

Nico71 developed this European truck after creating an earlier American heavy-duty tractor and receiving requests for a more compact cab-over counterpart.

The new model follows the same philosophy of playability and upgradeability while introducing a tighter turning radius, a high-roof European cab, an optional manual configuration with a simulated inline-four engine, and an improved trailer with fixed or self-steering axle operation.

The trailer design also draws inspiration from modern European freight equipment, with a longer platform, side guards, front bulkhead, and contemporary rear structure.
