Designed and authorized by STEBRICK / Stefano Mapelli, this monumental 63,181-piece architectural model is based on the real Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris, France, with an extraordinary focus on realistic proportions, structural complexity, and exterior detail.

Measuring approximately 145.7 × 51.8 × 101.9 cm / 57.4 × 20.4 × 40.1 in, the finished cathedral is an exhibition-scale centerpiece. The long nave, monumental western facade, transept, choir, apse, towers, roof structures, flying buttress-inspired forms, and extensive window detailing combine to recreate the unmistakable silhouette of Notre Dame de Paris.

To make a project of this scale easier to build, transport, and display, the cathedral is divided into five large modular sections. The Version 2.0 design also introduces improved structural stability, updated instructions, revised parts lists, replacement solutions for rare elements, and other refinements developed by the designer.

VISIBLE & STRUCTURAL PIECE SYSTEM
The original design separates the construction into approximately:

• 13,080 structural pieces

Visible pieces are intended to match the exterior architecture, while many hidden structural elements can use alternative colors because they cannot be seen once the cathedral is completed.

DETAILED GOTHIC ARCHITECTURE
The enormous scale allows the design to reproduce layered walls, towers, arches, roof structures, buttress-style elements, decorative stonework, and numerous smaller architectural details that would be difficult to achieve in a smaller model.

TRANSPARENT CATHEDRAL WINDOWS
The cathedral windows use extensive transparent elements, creating a particularly striking appearance when the model is illuminated from inside.

IMPROVED VERSION 2.0 DESIGN
The designer’s updated version includes corrections to minor construction issues, improved stability across the modular sections, reinforced upper transept and central tower structures, updated high-definition instructions, and revised parts lists.

ALTERNATIVE PART SOLUTIONS
Because some architectural elements may become difficult to source over time, the designer developed replacement solutions for selected rare parts without significantly changing the finished appearance.

With more than 63,000 pieces and highly detailed architecture, this is intended as an advanced long-term project. Estimated total building time can exceed 500 hours, depending on experience and building pace.

STEBRICK designed MOC-43974 Notre Dame de Paris as an exhibition-scale recreation of the famous Paris cathedral, focusing on realistic proportions and the ability to reproduce architectural details at a much larger scale than conventional landmark models.

The cathedral was engineered around five large macro modules so that individual sections can be constructed separately and the completed model can still be transported or repositioned when necessary.

The Version 2.0 update further improves stability and introduces revised instructions and alternative part solutions intended to keep the project practical to build over time.
