The designer was particularly inspired by Queen Mary 2’s unique position between two worlds: she offers the amenities of a modern cruise ship while retaining the structural characteristics and performance expected from a true ocean liner. The project therefore focuses not only on reproducing her exterior appearance, but also on celebrating the engineering heritage behind more than a century of transatlantic passenger travel.
