Step back into the early era of aviation history with the MOC-198478 Fokker E.V (D.VIII) WWI Fighter Aircraft Building Blocks Set. Designed and authorized by AlessandroMaffioli, this 233-piece aircraft model recreates one of the most distinctive fighter planes from the final stage of World War I.
The Fokker E.V, later renamed the Fokker D.VIII, was a German parasol-wing monoplane fighter designed by Reinhold Platz and produced by Fokker-Flugzeugwerke. Entering service in the final months of World War I, the aircraft represented an advanced design for its time with its clean parasol wing configuration and lightweight structure. After early wing-related issues, improvements led to the aircraft being redesignated as the Fokker D.VIII.
This detailed building model captures the aircraft’s unique silhouette with a gray and white color scheme, large upper wing, brown propeller, compact fuselage, and carefully designed landing gear. Despite its smaller size, the model preserves the elegant engineering style of early fighter aircraft and makes an excellent historical aviation display piece.

Historical Background
The Fokker E.V was a German fighter aircraft designed by Reinhold Platz and manufactured by Fokker-Flugzeugwerke during World War I. It was the final Fokker aircraft to become operational with the Luftstreitkräfte, entering service shortly before the end of the conflict.
Following several accidents caused by structural wing failures, the aircraft received modifications and was redesignated as the Fokker D.VIII. Known by the nickname “Flying Razor” in later aviation literature, the D.VIII is remembered for achieving the distinction of recording the final aerial victory of World War I.
