Step into the peaceful atmosphere of a Japanese shrine garden with the MOC-269494 Lion Head Garden Japanese Shrine Building Blocks. Designed and authorized by Brick Kaiser, this 1,779-piece modular corner model is inspired by Osaka’s famous Namba Yasaka Shrine, combining its iconic lion-head structure with cherry blossoms, a traditional torii gate, pond scenery, stone lanterns, and other distinctly Japanese architectural details.
Set during cherry blossom season, the model creates a tranquil urban sanctuary filled with small cultural details and storytelling elements. From the dramatic lion-head shrine to the quiet garden paths and wooden pavilion, every section contributes to the atmosphere of a traditional Japanese streetscape.

A Peaceful Sakura Garden
Cherry blossom trees surround the shrine and pathways, bringing seasonal color and a calm springtime atmosphere to the completed scene.
Traditional Japanese Details
Enter through a classic torii gate and explore a landscaped setting featuring a serene pond, stone lanterns, garden elements, and traditional architecture.
A Stage Inside the Lion Head
The open mouth of the lion-head structure contains a small stage area, adding an unusual architectural feature and additional interior depth to the model.
Ema & Omikuji Pavilion
A wooden pavilion represents the Japanese traditions of leaving ema wish plaques and drawing omikuji fortune slips, adding cultural storytelling to the shrine setting.
Modular Corner Design
Created as a Japanese-inspired modular corner, the model can serve as a standalone display or become part of a larger city street, Japanese district, or custom modular layout.
From the Designer
Brick Kaiser created Lion Head Garden as a Japanese-inspired modular scene based on the atmosphere of Namba Yasaka Shrine in Osaka. Rather than focusing only on the famous lion-head structure, the design expands the setting into a complete shrine garden filled with cherry blossoms, water, traditional architecture, and small cultural details.
The goal was to capture the peaceful atmosphere and unique charm of the landmark while creating a scene that feels lively and rewarding to explore from different angles.
A Striking Japanese Streetscape Display
With 1,779 pieces, an iconic lion-head centerpiece, and a richly detailed shrine garden, this model makes an eye-catching display for Japanese architecture enthusiasts, modular city builders, and collectors of culturally inspired street scenes.
