Unlike the designer’s larger fortress projects, Moonlight Castle was intentionally created at a more compact scale while still preserving a strong vertical silhouette and rich architectural detail. The model features a front watchtower, a tall belfry, a chapel with a golden cross, a broken bridge extending from one side, and layered walls topped with steep roofs.

The result is a distinctive fantasy castle that feels familiar to Elden Ring fans while remaining an original interpretation rather than a direct recreation of a specific in-game structure.

The designer also took inspiration from Germany’s Neuschwanstein Castle, combining romantic European castle forms with a darker fantasy aesthetic.

From the Designer

Pontus_Gehrmann_MOCS created Moonlight Castle from a longtime interest in castle architecture. Unlike many of the designer’s much larger fortress projects, this model was intentionally scaled down to create a more compact and accessible build.

The design combines inspiration from real-world architecture—especially Neuschwanstein Castle—with the fantasy atmosphere of Raya Lucaria from Elden Ring, resulting in an original castle that blends romantic medieval forms with a darker magical character.
